Rental Agreement

1. Damage Liability

[Placeholder] The renter is responsible for any damage to the vehicle occurring during the rental period, beyond normal wear and tear, that is not covered by the renter's own insurance. The renter agrees to report any damage, however minor, to 66 West as soon as reasonably possible after it occurs or is discovered. 66 West will review the vehicle after return, compare it against the pre-pickup condition record, and may charge a damage fee to the payment method on file, in an amount reflecting the cost of repair.

2. Late Return

[Placeholder] The vehicle must be returned by the date and time selected at booking. Returns within 1 hour of the scheduled return time are not charged a late fee. Beyond that grace period, a fee of $25 per hour (or part of an hour) applies, up to a maximum of one additional day's rental rate. Repeated or extended lateness may affect the renter's ability to book with 66 West in the future.

3. Fuel / Charge Return Policy

[Placeholder] The vehicle will be provided with a full charge and must be returned with a full charge. If the vehicle is returned below a full charge, a charging fee will apply, calculated based on the remaining charge needed and the applicable per-mile-of-range rate at the time of return.

4. Cancellation Policy

[Placeholder] Reservations cancelled more than 48 hours before the scheduled pickup time are eligible for a full refund. Reservations cancelled within 48 hours of pickup may be subject to a cancellation fee. No-shows may be charged the full reservation amount.

5. Payment Method on File

[Placeholder] By completing a booking, the renter authorizes 66 West to securely save the payment method used at checkout (via our payment processor, Stripe) and to charge that payment method after the rental period for any late fee (Section 2) or damage fee (Section 1) that applies, without requiring further action from the renter at the time of charge.
