Identity Verification
[Placeholder] 66 West uses Stripe Identity to verify a renter's identity and age before their first booking. The document images and selfie submitted for this check are collected and held by Stripe directly, under Stripe's own retention policy — 66 West does not store copies of these documents. We receive and retain only the verification result and a limited set of extracted data (name, date of birth, address).
Pickup Identity Check
[Placeholder] Shortly before pickup, renters must submit a photo of themselves holding their license, so we can confirm the person picking up the vehicle matches the verified account holder. This photo is automatically deleted 90 days after the booking is marked complete.
Vehicle Condition Documentation
[Placeholder] Photos taken during pickup and return condition checks (vehicle exterior and interior) are retained for a longer period than the pickup identity photo above, since they may be needed to resolve a damage dispute after the rental ends.
